Blade and Rose & WWF

The team here at Blade and Rose are passionate about the world’s most iconic and threatened species. We have now joined WWF by designing a collection of leggings that aims to inspire people all over the world to care for our planet. All leggings are organic cotton-based and recognisable by their designs of species at risk, of course in keeping with Blade and Roses recognisable designs.

The collection features bright designs and animal faces of species such as the tiger, panda, rhino, elephant and sea turtle, all facing many threats including habitat loss, water pollution and the impact of climate change.

The collection has been designed in line with our already iconic baby leggings, comfortable and easy to wear organic cotton-based in sizes from 0-4 years.

10% of the sales price of the collection will support WWF’s work in conserving species at risk.

Blade and Rose for WWF leggings

We have created a collection of five leggings for the WWF campaign. Each legging features one endangered animal on the bum in keeping with our popular legging designs.

Giant Panda

It is estimated that around 1,860 giant pandas remain in the wild today. The giant panda habitat was once spread throughout China, northern Vietnam and northern Myanmar. But now the giant panda is found in the wild in just six isolated mountain ranges in Gansu, Shaanxi and Sichuan Provinces in south-central China.

These sweet leggings feature the pandas distinctive black and white colours and little Panda face on the bum with black patches around the eyes and on the ears. To make them extra distinctive the little panda face also sits on the front legs.

Relentless poaching for their horns and loss of their natural habitats, has led to a catastrophic fall in black rhino numbers. The current poaching crisis in Africa is now so serious that authorities have stopped publicising the location of black rhinos for security reasons.

Get ready to charge in this cool pair of leggings featuring the Rhinos typical grey colours in stipes on the legs. Our strong, powerful and cheerful Rhino face with large horn sits on the bum.

The beautiful, awe-inspiring tiger is one of our planet’s most iconic animals. Wild tiger numbers dropped by more than 95% since the beginning of the 20th century. Now, for the first time in conservation history, their numbers are on the increase.

This ‘Roarsome’ pair of leggings will have little ones looking like the king of the jungle. Bright orange and brown tiger stripes paired with bold lime green to really stand out from the crowd and friendly tiger face on the bum.

Marine turtles

Marine turtles have been in our oceans for over 100 million years. They’re brilliant navigators, swimming hundreds or thousands of kilometres between feeding and nesting grounds. They face lots of threats along the way – so we’re doing all we can to help them.

Inspired by the ocean these leggings feature blue tones to mimic the turtle’s habitat. Our sweet and majestic turtle with large flippers, sits across the bum.

How lucky are we to share our planet with incredible giants like this? Huge numbers of these unique-looking, intelligent animals are being killed to fuel the growing demand for their ivory.

You’ll never forget these bright rainbow striped leggings. Our colourful cute elephant with large ears and trunk sits on the bum, with its swishy tail hanging to one side.
